Fair Value
Overview
Fair value is Tradepost's computed market price for a product variant. Every supported product (a specific PSA 10, a specific sealed booster box, a specific ticket section) has a fair value that updates as new data arrives from listings, sales, and primary supply.
Fair value powers the rest of the marketplace:
- Advanced Strategies bid relative to fair value — variance bounds and confidence floors are expressed against it
- Instant Cash Offers pull from the same fair-value snapshot when matching sellers to standing bids
- Webhook and WebSocket payloads include fair values when an event references a product
This section documents how to discover the available pricing models and read current fair values.
