Supply Provider
Sell-side market maker
A Supply Provider is a sell-side market maker on the Tradepost platform. Just as Liquidity Providers make markets by standing ready to buy, Supply Providers make markets by providing consistent, scaled inventory.
Releasing Soon The Supply Provider integration is in active development. Interested in early access? Contact engineering@tradepost.co.
Who qualifies
Supply Providers fall into two categories:
-
Traders — professional brokers, resellers, and prosumers who actively source and move secondary market inventory. Ticket brokers, card dealers, sneaker resellers, and trading desks that operate at scale.
-
IP / Content Rights Holders — teams, venues, artists, leagues, manufacturers, and studios with direct access to primary supply. If you control the inventory at the source, you're a natural Supply Provider.
What you can do
As a Supply Provider, you'll be able to:
- Submit inventory — push items into the marketplace via the API or Terminal, individually or in bulk
- Receive instant cash offers — when a Liquidity Provider's bid matches your item, you get an offer immediately
- Accept or decline offers — review offers in your portfolio and act on them, or let them expire
- Initiate transfers — once you accept, send the item to the Liquidity Provider and confirm the transfer
- Track payouts — monitor payment status from acceptance through settlement
How it works
The Supply Provider flow mirrors the Offer Lifecycle from the sell side:
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Submit inventory | You list items via the API or Terminal |
| Offer matching | Tradepost matches your items against standing Conditional Bids from Liquidity Providers |
| Offer received | You see the best available offer in your portfolio |
| Accept offer | You commit to the sale — orders and money movements are created |
| Transfer item | You send the item to the buyer (digital transfer or physical shipment) |
| Get paid | Payment is released after the Liquidity Provider confirms receipt |
Terminal vs API
- Terminal — submit inventory, review offers, and manage transfers through the web UI. Best for getting started and lower-volume workflows.
- API — automate inventory submission, offer management, and transfer tracking programmatically. Best for high-volume Supply Providers with engineering capacity.
